Ágainst the land grab by the car industry – for a world of the commons!

We want land to be treated with solidarity and care, with the well-being of all beings and our livelihoods at the center.

But the car industry and its allies in parliament and government have declared war on the commons.

Various parts of the movement prevented a major highway project at the ballot box last year. But the car industry and its allies don’t care about this decision: company bosses, politicians and the wealthy continue to push ahead with road construction. In doing so, they are actively destroying our livelihoods – through climate crisis, species extinction and land theft.

We are fighting for a collective use of land and accessible mobility for all!

Because together we are the life defending itself. We say: Not one more meter of road.

For this, for the disarmament of the car industry and for a caring approach to our livelihoods, we consider any means legitimate.
That is why we, Áufstände der Állmende (Uprisings of the Commons), are calling for a “season” of creative protest against the land grab by the car industry. This can include all kinds of actions: be it a banner drop, a podium, a concert, a clandestine act of disarmament, a demonstration or something completely different.

Áufstände der Állmende provide support with communication and press work and, on request and depending on capacity, with anti-repression work and action planning. Of course, we are also happy when actions are sent to us as a surprise!

Let’s disarm the car industry and fight for spaces that we can shape in solidarity as commons.
